THE YELLOW FLAG IS OUT
Several years ago, on a Labor Day, I found myself seated in the stands watching the Darlington 500. It was my first — and only — car race. My first thought, as I watched the speeding drivers, was a prayer, “Lord don’t let them kill themselves!” I had never seen anything like it. There was only one minor accident, and the yellow flag of caution was waved to slow the others down. There is a yellow flag of caution out in churches today as spiritual wrecks are hindering real growth. The symptoms are too plain to miss. Yesterday, we had 151 in Bible Study, only 38 people read their Bible each day of the week. That’s 75% of the Sunday School ignoring the Word of God.
