SENATOR BRADLEY ON CIVILITY
Former U. S. Senator Bill Bradley left the senate to make a greater difference by chairing the National Civic League which assists local communities by promoting civil cooperation. In his first meeting with the National Civic League on February 28, 1997 Bradley said that civility is the “thought that you can disagree with someone and not demonize them… It is the thought that if you say certain things that are too gross to be on television, you aren’t somebody who is against free speech.
