MARRIAGE IS NOT DEAD
Marriage is not dead. Nine out of ten Americans still get to wear a wedding band at some point in their lives. Cohabitation may be a seemingly sensible step prior to marriage, but it is not a viable protection against divorce. People who live together before marriage actually have a substantially higher likelihood of getting divorced than do those who live separately prior to voicing their vows. Parents do not credit themselves with having the greatest impact on their own children. But they do not charge the media with that influence, either. They cite their kids’ friends as the biggest influencers. Politicians and journalists generally claim that ten percent of all American adults are practicing homosexuals. The truth is that homosexuals represent about one percent of the population–a vocal, powerful, but numerically minuscule segment.
