CHURCH PLANTING MISSION
In his newsletter to his constituent churches, Warren Johnson, Regional Director of the Rocky Mountain Conservative Baptist Churches, compares the planting of new churches by established churches to the birth of babies by young families. He says that “the joy of new life is being sacrificed by many young people on the altar of personal comfort.” He says that the planting of new churches is vital for established churches in that it… 1) establishes our priorities; 2) increases our effectiveness; 3) fulfills our mission; 4) renews our passion. Johnson considers this the joy of a new life. He concludes, “If we are not about the business of reaching new people for Christ, we are only playing church.” From “The Joy of a New Life,” by Warren Johnson, Mission 21 Churches, 10 W Dry Creek Circle, Littleton, Colorado 80120
