LOVE PARAPHRASED (1 CORINTHIANS 13)
Eloquent speech and gifted tongues, are unpleasant sounds of clanging percussion… without love; Prophecy and powerful demonstrations of faith, are nothing… without love; Great acts of giving or even of martyrdom, are of no real benefit… without love; Love takes its time, extends its kindness, holds on to its heart, keeps its tongue, knows its place, controls its actions, distributes what it gathers, keeps its peace, forgives others’ offenses, enjoys righteousness and truth, bears up under pressure, and lifts up with faith, hope and endurance. Love is the gift that keeps on giving without fail. By Michael Hodgin
