PRIORITIES IN GIVING
Let me restate the convictions I have communicated through the years. First, despite our need, we do not want you to support Focus on the Family until you have met your obligation to your local church. It outranks our ministry in priority and significance. Second, do not send contributions that will deprive you or your family of basic sustenance and support. Some of you are on welfare or live on other forms of fixed income. You should not share in our burden unless you are clearly able to do so. Third, we ask that you pray with us about the ongoing responsibilities of this ministry, both financial and otherwise. We are trying to please the Lord in all that we do, but “we see through a dark glass” and sometimes fall short of the mark.
