ALL THE MILK SHE HAS
The dairy inspector from the Department of Agriculture paid a visit to an old farmer who had only one cow. While it was more typical for the inspector to visit large operations, he still needs to check on this farmer’s one cow. The inspector reviewed the barn for cleanliness and the feed for nutrition. He watched the old farmer milk his cow. When finished, the inspector asked the old farmer how much milk the cow had produced. The old farmer was feeling just a little intimidated by this careful attention by the inspector. But he answered the inspector respectfully: “Oh, I can assure you, mister, Old Bessie is an honest cow, and she always gives me what she’s got.”
