INVOLVED & RESPONSIVE
There are two basic ingredients that a parent must demonstrate in her relationship with her teen to give him an authentic taste of what God is like: unconditional involvement and uncompromising responsiveness . . . unconditional involvement gives . . . a taste of God’s grace . . . uncompromising responsiveness gives . . . a taste of God’s justice or righteousness. Without seeing the two modeled in the lives of those who teach them, kids can easily get a false idea of what God is like.
