HOPE GROWS THE GARDEN
Warren Kniskern is one of our new subscribers that we picked up from the Sermons Illustrated crowd we acquired from Jeff Carroll a few months ago. He sent us an illustration he adapted from his own book: When the Vow Breaks: A Survival and Recovery Guide for Christians Facing Divorce. Warren tells about his mother’s love for roses. Years ago she built a beautiful rose garden in her backyard just outside her bedroom window. The planting, spraying, and weeding in the hot sun took countless hours. But the pleasure of seeing those lovely multi-colored roses made it worthwhile. She enjoyed cutting the best buds and sharing them with shut-ins and friends.
