WEEBLES WOBBLE
We loved to buy toys for our children, especially when they were little. One of my favorite toys were Weebles. Weebles were egg-shaped toys on which were painted cartoon characters. The bottom of each Weeble had a lead weight so that no matter how it was placed on the floor, it would always bounce back up. Indeed the advertisement was: “Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down!” Over the years I have often thought of the Christian life as one like the life of a Weeble. No matter what knocks us down, we are able to get back up. Why? Because of our living hope in God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
