THERE IS NO SECOND
In the days of Queen Victoria of England, an international yacht race was held in the English Channel. The queen stationed men along the shore of the channel to inform her of the progress of the race. The queen grew impatient for a report and sent word down the line of men asking for a report. The report returned to the queen that there were no yachts in sight. Again, the queen grew impatient and asked for a report. The second report was returned that the American yacht was in sight. The queen hoped that the British yacht was close behind the Americans and asked for a third report. The third report returned to the queen with this message: “There is no second!” God the Father affirmed the superior position of Jesus at the time of his baptism: “You are My Son whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” (Mark 1:11).
