TRUE VISION OF CHRIST
Lakota Sioux Indian shaman, Black Elk, says: “It is hard to follow one great vision in this world of darkness and of many changing shadows. Among those shadows men get lost.” The Bible tells us that this is a world of darkness. The Native American sage is correct when he tells us that this world has many changing shadows. All kinds of shadows are seeking our allegiance–i.e., cults, materialism, and secularism. As we follow those “shadows” we get lost. Only as we hold tight to Christ’s vision of God and the Kingdom can we walk through the valley of shadows.
