WORSHIP THE GROUND
A man approached his friend and asked him why he was still dating a mutual acquaintance who did not really seem like a likely candidate for an ongoing relationship. His friend resisted these attempts to explain the incompatibilities between them. In fact, his friend confided, he would probably ask her to marry him. The man was shocked and asked if his friend even loved this girl. His friend answered, “Are you kidding? I worship the ground she walks on.” When asked for more details, the friend continued, “I worship the ground she walks on because her father owns most of it!”
