DEAD PEOPLE SEE THE STICK
On their daily walk a little girl would walk with her mother past a cemetery. One day she saw someone push a wooden stick into the soil in front of a tombstone and hang a wreath of flowers on it. “Why did that woman put that wreath of flowers in front of the tombstone?” the daughter asked. “He wanted to remember the person who died,” the mother replied. “Will someone stick a wreath in front of my grave when I die?” the girl asked. “I imagine so, honey,” her mother said. The girl and her mother continued to walk and think. The girl stopped for a moment and then said, “I don’t think I’ll like that much. All I’m going to see is the wooden stick.”
