LETTER FROM HURRICANE VICTIM
Here is a touching letter from Krista Keck in Greenville, North Carolina to her friends and family after Hurricane Floyd: Dear family and friends, Thank you so much for the concerned e-mails and phone calls. I thought it would be easier if I sent out a mass mailing rather than repeating it. First of all, I am safe, dry and sustained absolutely no damage! A miracle upon miracles and I couldn’t be more grateful. What can I say otherwise though. . . it’s just total devastation down here. I won’t repeat all the statistics but the loss of life (human and animal) and property is massive. As you know, we are over the worse but still in quite a state of emergency. The floods were amazing. Greenville was literally cut off from the world. There was no route in or out of the city and the city was itself cut into sections. We had variable combinations of no electricity, phone…
