REMEDY FOR WORRY
Pastor Robert D. Jones writes that the remedy for worry is to seek the Lord, to believe his promises, and to orient your life around his priorities. He says that… God gives us hope to overcome worry; Worry is sinful disregard of the commands of Jesus; Worry is idolatrous in that it hitches our hearts to some false saviors and refuges and exalts our personal desires above those of God; Worry is unbelief and the solution is faith; Worry wastes time. Faith uses time well as a gift of God. From “Getting to the Heart of Your Worry,” by Robert D. Jones of Grace Fellowship Church, Hurricane, West Virginia, in The Journal of Biblical Counseling, Spring of 1999, Volume 17, Number 13, pp. 21-24
