LITTLE COMFORT
A visitor’s guide to Yellowstone Park gave instructions on how to spot the difference between a Grizzly Bear and a Brown Bear: Apparently when challenged by a bear you should try to climb a tree. This will be difficult since most of the trees don’t have any branches for the first thirty feet. Anyway, if you succeed in this endeavor, you’ll know which type of bear it was, because the Brown Bear will climb the tree after you– and do it much quicker than you can. The Grizzly Bear will just knock the tree down.
