Years ago, while attending Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, a chapel speaker wove a message around an analogy that powerfully illustrated the Christian’s standard to be none other than the Word of God. He compared the Bible to a tuning fork. The tuning fork is used by the piano tuner to determine how right or how wrong the sound has become – and is then used to restore the piano to its intended sound. This is the same purpose of God’s Word given to humankind. We are judged by His Word – and then given opportunity to be restored by the same standard. Editor
