WORTH MORE THAN A LOCKET
W. Paul Jones tells of a woman who shared her story of her childhood as a polio victim: “When my mother left me in Sunday School, I always asked to wear her locket. She thought I liked the locket. That wasn’t it at all. I knew I wasn’t worth coming back for, but I knew she would come back for her locket.” From Theological Worlds: Understanding the Alternative Rhythms of Christian Belief, Abingdon, 1989, pg. 36
