OUTSIDERS OR INSIDERS
In my father’s family there were three children, all of whom have grown up and had families of their own. One year, when I was just a boy, the Erickson family was going to have a get together. We were all to gather at my grandparents home in Everett, Washington. Grandma sent out the word that there was to be a family picture taken during the get-to-gether. That meant that we boys got haircuts and mom got us all new outfits for this family picture. Mom got her hair permed, bought a new dress and everything was set. Aunt Karen in Montana did the same for her family. Once we were there, the time arrived for the picture to be taken.
