A FAMOUS FRIEND
Recently my friends, Bobby and Bonnie Garner, called me from North Carolina. Bobby is a salesman and his company had given them a free cruise from Southern California down the coast to Mexico. Nancy and I offered to meet them at the Los Angeles airport and drive them to Long Beach where the ship was scheduled to leave. I wanted to greet them in a special way. So I asked one of our computer operators if he could print out a welcome sign. It turned out to be two feet wide and 20 feet long, a huge banner saying: “Welcome Bobby and Bonnie.” We got to the airport early and I asked the manager of United Air Lines if I could put the banner on the wall of the waiting area so the Garners could see it when they got off the plane.
