THE EYE OF GOD
I frequently went hunting to find solitude, relax, and enjoy God’s beautiful creation. One beautiful fall morning I was stationed in a tree with a shotgun in my arms when five whitetail deer came and frolicked in the sunlight beneath me. they were unaware of my presence, and I had no intention of shooting. I simply leaned back against the tree, grateful for the solitude and the show below. I was sure I was unseen. Suddenly I heard a WHOOSH! The deer heard it too and came to full, immobilized attention. Again I heard the sound. I glanced over my shoulder and saw a hot air balloon floating effortlessly, just above the treetops. Two men were in the gondola and I could hear them speak. One motioned to the other and said, “Look at the deer down there!” The other replied, “Yes, and I see a hunter in that tree.” Instantly I felt like hiding, but there was no…
