JUDGING BIBLICALLY
Luke 6:37 says, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. We love this verse and use it to our advantage. We use it to mean, “Leave me alone, and let me do whatever I please. Don’t call me to task for my immoral behavior. It says, “Live by the criteria you are using to judge others. Don’t have a double standard.” The fact is, the behavior we most dislike in others is the same as our behavior. Often we are blind to our own shortcomings. I urge you to use this fact to help you see your own blind spots. The fact is, we judge people all the time. Employers do it to employees. If they are not getting the job done, employers talk to them, retrain them, inform them, warn them, and if all else fails, fire them. Condemning has to do with writing…
