BUILD IT OR PLAN IT
Sometimes putting the cart before the horse is the right thing to do. During World War II, General Douglas MacArthur asked one of his army engineers how long it would take to “throw a bridge across this river.” “Three days,” said the engineer. “Good!” snapped the General. “Have your draftsmen make the drawing right away.” Three days later the General asked the engineer how the bridge was progressing. “It’s all ready,” reported the engineer. “You can send your troops across right now if you don’t have to wait for plans. They aren’t done yet.”
