FREE TIME
Since 1965 sleeping time — about eight hours — and eating time — an hour and a third — have remained stable. Free time – – everything excluding work, sleep, eating, shopping, housework and child care — is up about 10 percent to 5.5 hours a day. Two fifths of that is spent watching television.
