RUDOLPH VERSUS THE WOLVES
Robert L. May was the creator of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. This lovable creature was created in a book for the Montgomery Ward Santas to give to children. May’s comment concerning the popularity of dear Rudolph: “Rudolph is the first reindeer that ever kept the wolf from the door.”
