LIFE IS LIKE THAT
As a pastor, he traveled from town to town. Whenever he walked by the home of a Mr. Gentry, he saw a beautiful garden with flowers and vegetables. More, he always heard him whistling as loud as he could. Tex asked everyone he met why Mr. Gentry was always whistling….they all encouraged him to ask the man. One day he got up the courage and do so as Mr. Gentry was out working in the garden. Tex noticed a woman rocking on the porch. After a few moments of conversation, the question came out. Mr. Gentry replied, “Well, you see my wife is crippled and also blind. She cannot see where I go and what I am doing. I whistle to let her know where I am. I whistle to let her know that I am nearby. I whistle to let her know that if she ever needs me, I will be there. CHRISTMAS IS GOD WHISTLING. From Tex Evans
