OH MY DARLING CALVIN KLEIN
An individual recently submitted an interesting observation of generational changes by way of the changing lyrics of a once-popular song. This person had borrowed a folk songs cassette from the library for her four-year-old’s education and enjoyment. The little girl seemed to enjoy the songs and even began to sing them. The words, however, had been slightly changed. The little girl was now singing, “Oh, my darling, Oh, my darling, Oh, my darling Calvin Klein!” Adapted from Reader’s Digest, July 1990
