RUDE AWAKENINGS
I ran across a story, carried by one of the newspapers, that told about a small town hospital that was the victim of a bomb threat. Officials there decided that they had to take it seriously and evacuate the hospital. Some of the patients were transported to the local rescue squad building and some, due to a shortage of space, had to go to a nearby local funeral home. One woman, who had been in surgery when the bomb threat was first received, came out from under her anesthesia and realized that she was staring at the surroundings of a funeral home. Well, you can imagine how she felt. To say she was concerned is putting it mildly. I would be concerned, too. This woman was seriously shaken up.
