PAUL HARVEY ON VALUES
Daniel Koehler sent in a powerful and eloquent article by Paul Harvey, syndicated columnist, dated November 16, 1993. He took this from the Fox Valley Daily Herald, but you can get yours from any newspaper that carries Paul Harvey’s column. This article sarcastically questions the wisdom of “THEY” – the materialists who deify the finite sciences – who told us all to relax our moral values, our labels of sin, our punishment of criminals, our inclusion of God in schools, our biblical absolutes in our churches. He then cited that in each case of this “relaxation” of values, we saw moral decline. His advice is to return to the book of instructions given to Spaceship Earth. This book tells us there are values, there are rights and wrongs, there are moral absolutes, there is divine inspiration, there is a “best” formula for life on this earth.
