PICKING ON THE UNITARIANS
I get taken to task when our humor reflects on any group, but I guess it’s O.K. to use a Unitarian joke when it comes out of a one of their own publications. The following was in Martin Marty’s Context as quoted from the Unitarian Universalist Christian “It seems that a young man bought a new Alfa Romeo, and he wanted to celebrate getting such a wonderful car in some special way. So he went to a Catholic priest, and said: ‘Father, will you bless my new Alfa Romeo?’ The priest said, ‘Sure, but what’s an Alfa Romeo?’ Discouraged, the young man went down the street and came to a Unitarian Church.
