I WISH I WOULD HAVE LISTENED
Bishop Ray Seilhamer, writing in the United Brethren in Christ May newsletter, notes: “Earlier this year, a Christian rap group called DC Talk performed at the Christian Family Center in Adrian, Michigan. I was there at the time participating in a Huntington College board of trustees meeting. DC Talk has won major awards, and their recordings are top-sellers in the Christian market. I passed up the opportunity to hear them — which I now regret. I doubt that their music would have appealed to my own tastes. I understand that they dress wild, the music is loud, and there is a great deal of motion. And yet, some of the people who attended the concert or otherwise got acquainted with the group were very excited about DC Talk.
