THROWING PEANUTS
Three boys came to confession. The first ended by saying “. . . and I threw peanuts in the river.” He was scolded for wasting good food. The second boy came in and admitted that he too had thrown peanuts into the river. The third little boy didn’t say a thing about peanuts. The confessor wanting to show that he was aware of little boys and what was going on in the neighborhood, asked, “Didn’t you throw peanuts in the river?” The fellow replied, “No, I’m Peanuts.”
