GETTING CREDIT
Runa Ware tells the story about a very special crab-meat casserole she used to make and one friend always praised it to the skies whenever she served it. She had asked for the recipe, which included a number of very special ingredients and Runa was careful to give her friend very detailed instructions. Some time later she was attending a luncheon at her friend’s house and as she came in she was greeted enthusiastically with: “Runa, Guess what! I’m serving your gorgeous casserole today.” However, as they entered the room her host confided to her that she had made a few changes in the recipe. Since fresh crab meat was unavailable, she had substituted canned tuna fish. Mushroom soup had replaced the delicate white sauce (she said it was “easier”).
