THE NUN AND THE BED PAN
A little nun was on a much desired mission assignment to the Apache Indians. She is so excited that she drives past the last gas station without noticing that she needs gas. She hitches a ride back to the station. The attendant tells her that he would like to help her, but he has no container to hold the gas. Sympathetic to her plight, he agrees to search through an old shed in the back for something that may suffice. The only container that would hold any amount of fuel at all was an old bed pan. The nun tells him that the bed pan will work just fine. She carries the gasoline back to her car, taking care not to drop an ounce. When she gets to her car she carefully pours the contents of the bed pan into the tank. A truck driver pulls alongside the car as the nun is emptying the container into…
