WHERE IS YOUR CHURCH?
A good many years ago when I was a young beginning minister I had the following experience. I had just worked very hard to find a nice house of worship for my small congregation. Considering the availability of resources and my youth it was a herculean task. I was very proud of the accomplishment and went to a lot of effort to have a nice sign made and placed it on the main thoroughfare just one block from my church. It showed an arrow pointing in the direction of my church with nice lettering inviting all to worship. After a few weeks had passed I checked on my sign and was humiliated to find that someone had picked the sign up and turned it so that the arrow pointed to the cemetery across the street.
