MUSIC AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE
The mighty weapons that the Apostle Paul alluded to are, in part, the praises of God in our mouths and the Word of God — the Bible — in our hands. As we sing for joy in praise and thanksgiving, and correctly wield the Scriptures, we inflict the vengeance of God upon the forces that are opposed to His rule and authority, we bind kings with fetters, and nobles with shackles of iron. In other words, we bind the forces of the evil one, even those in higher ranks of power in the satanic kingdom, so that they are unable to carry out their work as they would want to do. A number of years ago this principle was acted out in the simple faith of a young child. The earlier church I pastored prior had purchased “Patti’s Place” which was previously a night club.
