MUSIC DISPELS DOUBT
The Pentecostal Evangel carried an article awhile back about a Christian brother who was admitted to a hospital because of his having cancer of the tongue. After further tests, the surgeons decided the organ was so badly infected that it would have to be removed. The patient was wheeled into the operating room and the procedure was set to begin when the man was given an opportunity to say any last words prior to losing his ability to speak. To the surprise of everyone present, the man sat upright on the table and began to sing the well-known words of William Cowper’s hymn: There is a fountain filled with blood
