ERASING GOD’S MESSAGES
Bill Keane, creator of the Family Circus cartoon strip tells of a time when he was penciling one of his cartoons and his son Jeffy said, “Daddy, how do you know what to draw?” “Well Son, God tells me.” Perplexed, Jeffy countered, “Then why do you keep erasing parts of it?” Only a child can see clearly the heart of God. It is so easy to “erase” or modify what Jesus taught in order to meet our “worldly” or selfish needs. And because we have free will, God allows us to manipulate His gifts of truth, but in the long run it simply does not work to create happy, healthy and joyful lives. From Janet Oliver, Koloa, Hawaii
