RIDE WITH COLIN POWELL
One of my good friends recently retired from military assignment in the Pentagon. Not long ago the wife of one of his co-workers arrived by bus and intended to commute home with her husband. Her husband told her to meet him at the car which was parked in the “North Forty” parking lot. Now the Pentagon is the largest office building in the world, and the “North Forty” is a LONG walk away, and it is a BIG parking lot! Well, the wife managed to get lost wandering around the perimeter of the building until she spotted a man standing near a helicopter pad. When she approached him to ask directions he turned around. Was she surprised to see General Colin Powell, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff! She explained her plight, and General Powell offered to give her a ride to her car.
