TRADING PLACES WITH JESUS
One of the defensive options in the game of chess is to castle. In doing so, a player protects the king by reversing basic positions with the rook (the castle). The rook moves toward the position of the king, and the king moves toward the position of the rook. Such a move at the appropriate time could very well make the difference in the outcome of the game. As Satan moved in for the kill, Jesus stepped forward and traded basic positions with us. At just the appropriate time Christ died for the ungodly; our sin became his and his righteousness became ours. By Michael Hodgin
