THE HIDDEN CROSS
The story was told of a rock formation that looked like a cross on the side of a secluded mountain high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Mountain men spoke of having seen it at certain times when the clouds would clear and expose it to the view. However, most of the time it was hidden in a thick covering of clouds. Many thought this account was just a tall tale until W. H. Jackson took a picture of the formation in 1873. There was proof in black and white that the cross existed. How sad it is that the actions and words of Christians sometimes hide the cross from the eyes of the world.
