WHO SCORED ENOUGH POINTS?
There is an old story about a United Methodist preacher who died and found himself standing before the gates of heaven asking for admission. St. Peter, the gatekeeper asked his name, and then told him, “Friend, it takes 100 points to get into heaven. We’ll have to evaluate all that you did on earth and check your score. So, what have you done to recommend your admission to heaven?” Without much hesitation, the preacher said “Well, I preached at least once every Sunday for nearly forty-five years and most times twice.” St. Peter said, “That’s worth 1 point.
