CHILDLIKE HAPPINESS
The airline flight attendant has a lot to teach us about successful parenting. Remember the pre-flight message about the oxygen? The flight attendant reminds us that, in case it is needed, the oxygen mask will appear. The parent is to FIRST secure the oxygen over his or her own face, THEN secure masks over the face of the child. The lesson here is clear and universal. Before we can take care of our children, we MUST take care of ourselves. This care extends to every area of life: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Take care of yourself!
