I WOULD SAY
If Jesus were here this Thanksgiving Day, “Come to my house,” I would say. If Jesus came to my house at sunrise, I would say…”My Lord, What a glorious surprise.” If Jesus came to my house at noon, I would say “My Lord, I’m happy you came so soon.” If Jesus came to my house for dinner, I would say “My Lord, You honor this poor sinner” If Jesus came to my house at eventide, I would say “The day’s complete, You’re by my side” If Jesus came to my house on Thanksgiving Day, “Join us my brother,” I would say “Welcome to my house; please stay” By Jeanne Erwin, 1993
