ROOTS WITH ANIMALS
“Noah’s Ark: the Miniseries” was among Brandon Tartikoff’s favorite pitches when he was chief of NBC Entertainment. Tartikoff says in his new autobiography, “The Last Great Ride,” co-written by Charles Leerhsen, senior editor for People Magazine, that he heard more than 30,000 pitches in 15 years of television programming. When he told a producer offering the Noah miniseries he didn’t like the idea, the producer responded: “Brandon, baby, you’re not getting it. This is `Roots’ with animals!” From Columbus Ledger Enquirer, September 29, 1992. pg. A2
