A WHOLE NEW REASON
There was a college sophomore from Houston who thought it would be great to actually work on a working ranch in West Texas to help earn his college expenses. He picked up all kinds of brochures and finally wrote off to one which he thought sounded the best. The brochure made it sound so beautiful. The high plains were dry and the view was something else. You could see forever. And the sunsets — the people who wrote the brochure said they were gorgeous. The young man talked it over with his parents and they thought it was great that he wanted to help with his expenses but they weren’t too sure about this ranching business.
