JUST A STORY
Many years ago a rugged, old, Texas cowboy came off the range and saw his first motion picture. He was wild and untamed. The movie was an old-time drama with a hero, a villain, and a beautiful girl. In the course of the picture, the villain beat up the hero and captured the beautiful young girl. He tied her to the railroad track and a train was seen coming round the bend. Finally, when he couldn’t stand it any longer, the old cowboy leaped up from his seat, drew his six- shooters, and started firing at the screen to kill the villain! People who were sitting nearby wrestled the cowboy to the floor and took away his guns. Someone shouted at him, “It’s not real; it’s just a story!” The old cowboy had more reality about that fictitious story than we do in our Christian living.
