BASIC ACTIONS AND ATTITUDES
One of the excuses that so many people give for not praying is “I’m just too busy. I don’t have time to pray.” We all know what being busy is like. Most of us go non-stop from morning until bedtime. But we’re not the first busy generation. John Wesley, preached over 42,400 sermons in his 52 years in the ministry. That’s 2 1/4 sermons a day. Plus, Wesley wrote over 440 books, pamphlets and tracts as well as heading up and organizing the Methodist movement. In the midst of all of this work, Wesley once wrote, “I have so much to do that I must spend several hours in prayer before I am able to do it.”
