LEAVE SPRING TO GOD
A boy about nine years of age was out riding with his mother on Palm Sunday afternoon after having attended a very beautiful service in the morning. As they passed through the fields and woods outside the city, the boy noticed the buds on the trees beginning to swell and the grass turning green. He asked his mother how the trees and grass knew when it was time for them to come out–what told them. The mother explained to him that it was a sort of resurrection that God brought about each year, and drew some simple lessons of how God, through God’s universal love, has promised to bring us back into full immortal life after we leave this world. Dick was deeply impressed and asked innumerable questions. That evening when he was ready for bed, he brought up the subject again. The mother talked to him again about God and God’s universal laws of death and life, of mortality…
